Freeda- "5AM" Review

 

Manchester's very own Freeda, A 5 piece indie pop group have dropped their first single of 2021, Titled as 5AM

Freeda are made up of Sean Rowles (Vocals) Callum Hignett (Guitar) Cameron Meekums-Spence (Guitar) Adam Barton (Bass) and Daniel Atherton (Sytnh) who have released some amazing hits in the past such as Replay, Wash and Plead. They are headlining Academy 3 in Manchester scheduled for 11.09.2021, Get tickets whilst you can! Freeda are one never to miss, They blew the roof off at The Deaf Institute in November 2019 and I guarantee they will do the same for anywhere else they headline!

5AM is a beautiful track that gives everyone a taste of what Freeda have in store for us in the future, Introduced as always with frontman Sean's iconic singing voice, I noticed that synth and electronic drum rhythms appear in this track a lot more compared to the previous releases. The track lyrically draws a comparison between a busy, maybe stressful lifestyle and surrounding yourself with as many people as possible and doing things you wouldn’t normally do to battle loneliness, and the sort of frame of mind where you are surrounded by people you want to be around.
