The first band of my project to review local upcoming bands is AriA, a five piece electronic pop-punk band hailing from Manchester with Spanish roots, As of October 2019 the members who met at music college consist of Oscar Puente (vocals) Elliot Brown (Bass) Jack Findlay (Guitars, Synth) Ethan Eades (Drums) Louis Grayson (Guitar)
The band was set up in 2018 in what they say the main ambitions are to create the sort of music for people to engage with and at the same time transport into a world of sounds and atmosphere, their main music influences consist of IDLES, Cabbage, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. However they have stated whilst growing up they listened to artists
Only being an upcoming band they are very ambitious to be a touring band and probably most bands dream, Be the best band on the planet.
As of 2020 Bassist Elliot and drummer Ethan departed from the band.

The word "Aria", is the Italian translation of Air and also the highest form of pitch in Opera music.
I asked the band what the best thing is about being in a band and they stated that being a group of friends having fun was the main thing about being part of a team.
AriA mainly make their songs related to stories and also criticise topics such as the misuse of illegal drugs, there are also a few secrets hidden inside AriA's songs.
The AriA frontman, Oscar sent me a message via Instagram saying that he saw and liked my blog, and asked if i could review AriA. I responded with a "hell yes" because AriA are a band i like the sound of and perfect to review a local upcoming band.
On 18th October 2019 i went to the EP launch so i could blog about it which was also the first time i saw AriA live as it was a 14+ gig unlike many of their concerts.
I arrived at the venue not having a clue what any of the members looked like as i was eager to ask some questions, But as i walked back to the bar, Oscar and Elliot from Aria waved at me and asked if i wanted to ask them some questions for my blog. So what i tend to do with my interviews is write them down on a piece of paper and then write them all up on the blog.
I also asked if there was a venue the band would play it would be Gorilla, which i totally agree with because of the band's performances they definitely would deserve to headline Gorilla.
The Performance
AriA came on stage at around half past ten and gave me a bit of a shock because i just couldn't believe how hyper they were! In fact im surprised i even managed to get a picture of Oscar because he did so much bouncing about, but this is what i love to see from a band though, activity, energy that sort of style. I already knew they'd be my perfect music pace when Oscar balanced on the drum kit.
Their first song they played was the first song they released "Lost At Five" which Oscar stated is a story about him being lost in Barcelona at five o clock in the morning after a night out. He also said at the concert that 18/10/2018 was their first gig so one year after they performed their EP launch which shows they are doing well.
Their style of music differed throughout the set, Jack who also plays guitar was also managing the synth on a few songs which gave a psychedelic twang to their sound.
All i can say is i was not let down by AriA's performance, lots of fun and if you ever hear that they are playing live near you- Go!!
